Why it’s not for just anyone

  1. A city with no road to the rest of the country

Leticia can only be reached by air or by the Amazon River: getting here is already part of the adventure.

  2. Three countries in a single step

Colombia, Peru and Brazil meet here: three cultures and three languages one step from each other.

  3. Communities reached only by boat

Many riverside communities can only be reached by sailing the Amazon. That is where we serve.

  4. A base with roots since the year 2000

Since the year 2000 we have served here alongside missionary families, with the vision that every community has a church shining in the midst of darkness.

  5. Backed by a worldwide network

We are part of YWAM, a worldwide movement present since 1960, and our programs are backed by the University of the Nations.

  6. A family-based, cross-cultural base

Families from the United States, Brazil, Colombia and the Tikuna community of Peru live together here. Many languages are always heard at the base.

  7. Our own boat to reach the communities

With its own boat, JUCUM Leticia has reached more than 200 Indigenous communities in the Amazon, whatever their nation.
